Led by Bristol Community College (BCC), the SMART Project is working to expand, improve, and sustain Advanced Technology Education (ATE) within the region. The SMART Project was designed to build the capacity of secondary and post-secondary schools to provide students with pathways to careers in Marine Technology, Environmental Technology and Civil & Structural Engineering.  The SMART Project aims to:
    •  provide partners an opportunity to collaborate on the design of SMART technical
        education programs
    •  support educational partners with the technical assistance and equipment to
enhance and implement new programs and activities to support SMART
        certificates
    •  support the economic development of Southeastern Massachusetts by responding
to the employer's growing need for highly skilled and licensed technicians who
        can compete in the workforce
